As he mentions writing, he notices the latex goop on his hands. "Incredible! Either this is waste produced by the infestation, or some new way for it to reproduce. Oh, I do hope it's the latter! I'm so curious to see if this substance you've expelled is capable of passing the affliction on to me! Maybe it's managed to spawn a completely new being! Ooh, all the possibilities!"
If you didn't know any better, you'd think his hands were covered with hundred dollar bills rather than potentially infectious parasitic latex.
