An odd feeling washed over Jeff; his skin tingling, feeling numb in places. He's felt like this before, when he's had a bad cold and has almost started hallucinating. But, excitedly, he knew that it means the transformation is beginning.
A sudden urge made Jeff pull his t-shirt over his head so that he's sitting up topless on his bed. Another urge made him pull off his shoes without undoing the laces first, peel off both his socks and throw them into the corner of the room, then lower his jeans and boxers until they too can be scattered on the floor. Naked he lay down on the bed.
After a minute or two he lifted his right arm. He'd hoped by now that the biceps would have started to swell, but nothing was happening. If anything, his arm was looking thinner, more boyish.
And what was more worrying - when he made a fist so that he could flex his muscles, he was sure that he could see there were more freckles on his hand. Checking the left hand too, he confirmed the spread of freckles, now slowly drifting up his arms. Why, he wondered, did the machine's setting for Jocks involve freckles? It didn't make sense.
A rustling noise made Jeff look down to his legs. They also looked thinner, more wiry, and his ankles had become bony. But the source of the noise was the hair sprouting on the front and back of his lower legs. As a pretty hairless young guy, Jeff had always longed for masculine looking thick hair growth on his body, and he hoped that this was it. Definitely the hair looked sort of blonde, but also sort of light brown as a mass. He was delighted to see short hairs growing on his toes and feet, all glinting in the sunlight streaking through his bedroom window.
To Jeff's satisfaction, the hair was also growing on his chest. Although he had to strain his neck slightly, he could see the same golden brown hair circling his nipples, spreading in a patch between his pecs and filling in around his abdomen. The colour of his pubic hair had lightened to match, and now it almost looked - ginger?
Jeff leapt up with a start, and opened his wardrobe door to get at the full length mirror. The sight of his naked body looking back at him was a shock...
