The story of Adam and Eve comes to mind as you approach the apple tree. You think it's okay to be a little superstitious about these things in a place such as this and decide to leave the apples alone.
Those raspberry bushes, on the other hand, looked pretty good to your hungry eyes. You pick one off and tentatively place it in your mouth. You chew it slowly. It tastes like a normal raspberry, and you don't seem to be dying, so you pick a few more. Before long you're stuffing your face full of juicy raspberries. You pick the entire bush clean before your stomach is satisfied. Your pale fingers are stained with red raspberry juice, and you've even gotten a little on your gloves, but at least you aren't hungry anymore. You feel your energy slowly returning and you head on back into the house to wash your hands.
You locate the first floor bathroom, which looks the same as the one on the second floor except it's a little larger and has one extra sink. You remove your gloves and turn on the tap. As you rub the soap on your palms, you glance up at the mirror.
You raise an eyebrow at a white streak that has appeared in your hair. It's dead center, about three inches wide, and when you turn around you realize that it runs straight down all the way to the tips.
You rinse your hands off and dry them, wanting to inspect it closer. Once dry, you grab your floor-length locks and shift them around to fall down your front. You stare at the pure white streak for a minute. It looks a little scary, like the Bride of Frankenstein, but you have to admit, it matches your black-and-white goth attire.
You throw the hair behind you again. It must have been those raspberries, you think just before the sensations of another change begin.
