"I wish to be a dragon." You say. For a moment, nothing happens, then a voice from deep inside the well rumbles.
"Wish granted. Please step back for the transformation."
You stare quizzically at the well for a moment, then do as the voice says, then take several steps back from the well. After about ten feet, the voice booms again. "That is sufficient. This may hurt, brace thyself!"
You stop and turn back towards the well. You look and gasp. The well is shrinking! No, wait. You realize, YOU'RE GROWING! You look and watch as your line of sight grows above the nearby trees. You look down, and figure you must be at least six stories tall! Then, the pain hits.
You cry out as it feels like your skin is being yanked off, revealing golden scaled under it. Your hair falls out, and your shoulder blades itch badly. You scratch, but the itching does not fade. Then, you yelp, as the nail digs into the growing scaled. Pulling the hand back around to the front, you realize that your hand have turned into claws with VERY sharp nails!
Meanwhile, you feel pressure along your shoulder blades, and buttox. Turning your expanding neck, you look back, and see two bat-like wings grow out your back, and a large golden-scaled tail protuding from your rear. Spikes burst out of the top of the tail.
Despite the pain, the transformation still is not complete. You suddenly roar in pain as your nose and mouth come together, and push outward into a snout. Your human teeth fall out, and you feel larger, very sharp fangs replace them. A forked tongue slithers in and out of the snout. Smoke starts rising from your nostrils. You feel a burning sensation grow in your throat.
A new pain rips through your temples. Reaching up, you feel two horns- one on each side of your head, just above where your human ears used to be- emerge and turn forward, growing to three feet in length.
Finally, the pain stops. The well speaks again. "The change is complete. You may inspect your new body in the lake half a mile north of here."
You feel nervous, not sure whether to do so or not. Either way, hiding your large body isn't going to easy!
