There's barely even a pause once you've agreed to escape with her before you find yourself rushing through the twisted carnival. You watch in awe as she leaps over the boxes you stumble on and dashes under the banners you narrowly miss, not stopping even for a second but keeping a pace just slow enough for you to keep up behind her. The two of you travel through seemingly endless twists and turns, around stands and past tents, running for an eternity until finally you can see the wall that stands between you and freedom. You can spot a small hole in it.. you're getting closer... you almost make it to the hole, and... you're through. Street lights loom over you as you look down an empty neighborhood, doubled over and trying desperately to catch your breath. Alice stands beside you, showing no such exhaustion as she leaps up and down in excitement.
"We're free!" she exclaims, her long, slender ears shimmering in the glow of the lights as they bounce with every shrill giggle she lets out. It's as you see this that you realize something: she isn't free. She can leave the carnival, but she's not normal anymore... not HUMAN anymore. She can't live out in this world, she no longer belongs here. She can only go back to the carnival, back to a life of slave-like servitude and endless torments. She turns to share her glee with you, but as she sees the growing dismay on your face all the happiness instantly fades from hers. "I... I know." A slight trickle of tears starts running down her milky white cheeks, eyes welling with sorrow. "I know I can't stay... I have to go back. I'm just glad you could get out." By now, she's crying, tears flowing down her face, and you realize that your own vision has blurred as water fills your eyes. That she should help you escape, get you out of that horrible place, and still be forced to spend her life there... it's a raw deal, and it's just not fair. As she turns to leave you, to go back to the carnival, you can't help but grab her in an embrace, squeezing her tightly as both of you drown in your sadness. It's in this embrace that you look into her eyes, that you decide to give her one final farewell, as your lips touch her muzzle...
The kiss is short-lived, as she soon spits a wad of some thick, viscous substance into your mouth. "Come on," she laughs, a malevolent and bemused look crossing her face, "you really believed that sob story? You're more gullible than you look!" She lets out a hardy laugh as you try to choke up that sludge that she's spit into your mouth, barely managing to spit out a chunk of it but leaving the rest stuck to the inside of your mouth. You feel it coating your cheeks and inflating them until they're quite a bit puffier, covering and expanding your teeth until you've got a strong bucktooth, and slowly running over every other part of your mouth.
Alice lets out another laugh as she watches you trying desperately to fight the changes, pushing on your cheeks and teeth to try and force them into their original shapes. "Sorry honey. I'd love to see what a handsome little rabbit you make, but you just aren't my type." With that, she blows you a kiss and walks back through the hole in the carnival wall, which promptly seals itself before the entire carnival melts to the ground in an instant, leaving you standing alone before an empty field.
