Stewie shrugs, "Well, the door's open. Come on, Meg, let's check it out."
He boldly stepped into house. Automatically he reached for the light switch, and even as he flipped it on he expected it not to work, but to Stew's surprise the overhead lamp flickered on. The house was furnished in an old style, and smelled of animals, but wasn't dusty or cobweb filled as he had expected.
"I think somebody lives here," Megan said nervously from the doorway.
"Hello? Trick or treat!" shouted Stewart. His voice echoed. He took a step, and there was a loud squeak.
He froze as did Megan. He looked down and saw a yellow rubber squeeze toy shaped like a bone under his foot.
He laughed picked up the toy bone, and chomped on it with his mouth.
"Ew gross! Dog germs!" laughed Megan doing her best Lucy Van Pelt impression.
Stewie squeaked the toy in his mouth twice in answer.
He felt strange. It was as if his body was getting lighter, and his clothing looser. As Megan watched, Stew began to shrink. Then he fell forward dropping to all fours. He looked confused, and his body seemed to be wrong, somehow contorted. His head wasn't right. He didn't look like a kid in a werewolf costume anymore, he looked like a dog dressed up like a kid in a werewolf costume. He opened his mouth, and a long thin pink tongue hung out. His teeth were jagged and jutted out forming a snout. He barked. As he trotted forward on all fours, he trotted out of his shoes and clothing. The latex ears and fur fell from his head. Stewart really was a dog. He looked up at Megan with puppy dog eyes.
