Spike resists the temptation
Spike yields to the temptation
Naomi of coursed braced herself. The doe had just walked into the lion's den. The girl was either crazy, desperate, or a gluttony for punishment. Naomi didn't know which, and only cared after the fact. She readied to give the order to her pack mates to beat up bucks in a heartbeat if things turned ugly. The doe appeared willing enough, so technically Naomi couldn't interfere. All the same, Naomi waited for the excuse she'd need to break up this union. Her change in species had only super reinforced her sense of duty, she often wondered if the park management had planned it like that. And one of those rules was making sure the park guests didn't destroy each other so they could all -enjoy- their stay here. This was a vacation park after all.

The doe's attention was taken away from the lynx when they realized one of their number was missing. It took them about twenty seconds to realize where she was.
Lateisha declared, "Has Leticia gone crazy?"
Su Yin pushed up on glasses that weren't there. "Insane, no. At her breaking point? I think so."
"Maybe I should go down there to help her out?" Jenny asked, after all, she trusted the bucks and they trusted her.
"NO." Lateisha said, "And all this time I thought Hannah was going to do the stupid thing."
"Hey,"
"Sorry Hannah. It's just, what's come over her?"
Su Yin sighed, "We've been seeing the warning signs all this time, and her 'getting a better look' story was shallow. We should have kept a closer eye on her."
"At least nothing bad has happened to her yet." Jenny pointed out in cautious optimism.
"Leticia how could you be so stupid." Lateisha whispered.
While the lynx didn't consider themself to be a muck raker, nor a scoop sniffer, the lynx did have a duty. The lynx ultimately said nothing, just staring at the lady doe with the entire park collection of bucks around her. Everyone in the park from the wolves to the bears would want to know what was about to happen in precise detail.

"Looks like one of the judges decided to come back." Harrison commented, not quite realizing the gravity of things just yet.
Keith and Jackie, were too surprised to speak.

"Leticia no." Laurie lamented forgetting about the child lynx behind her who began to spit off question about what was going on in spite figure.
The teenagers just stared trapped in anticipation.
Laurie got ready to grab the child and block their view of thing at the first sign of something a child should never have to see.

If Sam had been able to resist Hannah, the single most desired doe in the entire park, then he could resist breaking Samantha's wedding vows at the sight of ANY deer.
Jeremy and Drake thought of taking advantage of the distraction at the same time. Instead of their horns locking, their shoulders instead smashed into each other, knocking Jeremy back from Drake's lower statue and superior strength. This was enough to wake up Jeremy from just following mixed instinct. Jeremy had more experience getting into scuffles than Drake could hope to, but Sam had given Drake better advice. Still.
Jeremy, much like Sam, had won many of his fights because their opponent was overconfident and left themselves open. Drake having been humbled by Sam no longer had that weakness. Jeremy wasn't stupid enough to try and copy Spike's strategy of getting impaled just to get in a grab.
While the idea of many of his frat mates ending up as does was very alien to Jeremy. A part of him liked it. Being the dominant one for a change. And them being in the submissive role for a change. And even those few words of encouragement from Spike were more than Lance had ever given Jeremy. Dominate, survive, proliferate. Jeremy totally embraced it.
For a moment, Drake would swear he was looking at a buck on two legs, rather than just a mutated human. Like Spike. And that moment was all Jeremy needed for his antlers to smash Drake in chest, knocking him over and leaving him skidding. This clash distracted everyone in turn from Leticia even for a moment.
Drake skidding for two seconds, and found himself looking into Jeremy's dominating eyes. Drake slowly got up, their eyes not breaking the connection. Things were established, Drake was number four in the pecking order, Jeremy was number three. Drake' back burned, but he moved along all the same.
Drake looked at Sam, and Sam realized in a flash that Drake was nonverbal asking for Sam's -forgiveness!- "It-it's all right," He stuttered, "You did your best." Drake seemed somehow relieved and joined the rest of the herd. Jeremy joined Drake a moment later after Spike had patted him on the shoulder for a job well done.
With the rank of number one still up on the hair, both Drake and Jeremy allowed themselves a selfish glance at Leticia. Jeremy never did have much confident with ladies, mostly from his friends pushing him into their arms without giving him a second to think through his actions before hand. Now, the only thing keeping him from telling Leticia at this very moment he wanted her, was that the tournament wasn't over, the complete pecking order hadn't been decided yet for the herd.
The fact Leticia was dating someone on the outside as a male, couldn't even hope to register in Jeremy's brain.

The doe, Leticia, stared at the two buck joining the herd, her every instinct dictating to her thinking brain that it was perfectly alright if either of them was to go inside her. The fact that at least one of them would ditch her in a second the moment fawns came was pushed to the side by the berries creating the promise that she could indulge herself without worrying about the consequences.
It hadn't occurred for anyone to every ask a very simple question. If there hadn't been any pregnancies in the park (as far as anyone had been told)... how did anyone know the berries weren't 100% effective? And how did they know they worked for sure?
The doe looked at the two remaining bucks in the fighting circle, the instincts telling her to wait. She saw the look in buck's eyes that said he wasn't interested. The fact this buck's gender was a temporary one didn't register anymore than her own temporary doe status. She could tell just from looking down without any hesitation or disgust what so ever that the other buck was very much interested.
The doe then thought it only logical to wait, just a little bit longer, until the herd had finished it's last fight, and the herd's formation had been completely formed. And she knew if the scarred buck won, she would only desire him -more.-
Spike being distracted by Jeremy's win had been pulled out of his libido somewhat, enough that he didn't grab the doe in front of him and claim her on the spot at least. Spike had just enough self control to decide she'd be his victory prize.
Without giving it a second thought, the doe calmly walked over and sat down in the stone 'throne' that the park's most attractive doe had occupied for most of the fights. She placed her hands in her lap, her armored finger clicking as they touched. Her thoughts and eyes completely focused on the bucks in front of her. Her mind totally dedicated for what was to come. She looked like a doll.
All the bucks, thought it more proper for the last fight to have a doe present as 'judge' and where pleased by Leticia action.
Sam breathed in and out, clearing his head, no more delays, no more time to think before hand, this was it. He won. Or Spike won, and the herd got shot to Hell.
