Meet Dan the Man
Bill, with one hand on the statue, grabs Dan’s arm. The statue starts to glow light blue as the electrical charge flowed through Bill to Dan’s body. Both Bill and Dan experienced a shared muscle growth. Dan’s eyes roll back into his head as a low moan escaped his mouth. Dan was already built fairly well even for a football player but even his body could use some improvement. Shoulder began to fill out bigger. Biceps ballooned larger size. His entire body grew larger in all directions. Everything expanded bigger. His board shorts were tighter on his body than they were a few minutes ago. They looked as if they were too small for his now somewhat larger body. Bill released his grip on Dan and the statue. Dan now looked like he should be in collage instead of high school.
“OH MAN! What a trip!” Exclaimed Dan. “I feel great! Look at all the muscles I have now!”
“I know.” Said Bill in his new deeper voice. His body has received an upgrade as well. Both he and Dan received the same amount muscle growth. Unlike Dan’s growth, Bill’s muscle growth only brought his body up to what a normal teenage male should be for his age. That was enough for Bill, for now. He could always come back for more muscle growth later.
“Now that I know that the growth is conductive,” Bill told Dan. “We need someway for the entire team to get the same growth spurt.”
“How about a tug-of-war between the Offensive and Defensive squads?” Replies Dan.
“Great idea Danny Boy.” Bill says as he pats Dan back. “We need to find the longest, wettest rope we can find.”
“That way the electrical charge will travel down the rope to each person holding the rope, right?” quizzes Dan.
“Who says all jocks are dumb?”
While Tom looks for a rope for the tug-of-war Dan incites the two squads into the game. Both were successful in their separate tasks. Both squads took their place on either end of the rope but one side had one person too many because one of the players were out of town. Dan suggests that the squad use the new kid in town to even up the sides. Bill’s end of the rope, thanks to Dan, happened to be next to the statue. Dan took his spot at the opposite end of the rope.
The two had planed their next move in advance. Neither squad knew about the statue and or of its purpose. Each side struggled to best the other and neither side wanted to be bested by the other. The two squads were evenly matched so neither side notice that they were being maneuvered closer towards the statue. Than Dan and Bill made their collective move. Dan loosened his grip on the rope just enough for Bill to touch the statue unnoticed. Both he and Bill could feel their bodies getting bigger.
