The Mike-beast howled out in pain and fury as her teeth sank into its tender member. It lashed out in rage, grabbing her by the face and shoving her backward as hard as it could, knocking her momentarily senseless as her head hit the ground..
Michelle quickly gathered her senses and scrambled to her feet, seeing her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend writhing on the ground in pain. The other two had rushed over to him, starting down at him, puzzled looks on their lupine faces. Michelle felt satisfaction, laced with a hint of regret. How could they do this to her?
Shelby-wolf and Tom-wolf turned their attention to her, baring fangs at her threateningly. Michelle took off running, not looking back. She pushed her body to new feats of athleticism, running for her life, fueled by adrenaline.
She could hear their echoing howls and the tearing of the undergrowth growing closer. One was to her left, another to her right, and one catching up behind her. She knew if they caught her, there would be nothing left of her for anyone to find. She had to get away, but her energy reserves were starting to dissipate.
The pack began to tighten around her. She could see the Shelby wolf on all fours to her left, running faster than she was now. It made a sharp turn, cutting her off in the front. Michelle veered to her right, and was met with a thunderous forearm from the Tom-wolf.
Falling onto her face, Michelle saw her field of vision become obscured by black spots. She fought to stave off unconsciousness, though she knew it would be better not to be awake for her punishment.
Another howl, and then a huge wight was upon her, driving the breath from her lungs. Searing hot breath blew across her face. The Mike-wolf was on top of her. She cringed as fangs snapped, milimeters from her face, waiting for the deathblow.
A soft noise, like a suppressed cough, rang out, and the Mike-wolf rolled off of her, not moving. Two more times it happened, almost instantaneously, and the others fell as well. Michelle dared to open her eyes and survey her surroundings.
Each of the three wolves were motionless, a tranquilizer dart protruding from their bodies. Michelle slowly stood up, her body aching and uncooperative.
"Hello?" she called out, fearing what might happen nex in this night of unwelcome and terrible surprises.
