You tell her everything; the park, the mansion, and the labyrinth. How you found a minotaur and he nearly trampled you, and your subsequent transformation into a man-bull. You also mention his cryptic remarks about "portals to other worlds" and guarding it against evil. Feeling self-conscious about talking about yourself all this time, you ask her about her story.
She tells you that she was driving to your town to visit a friend from college who had just moved there. It was supposed to be a short, spontaneous trip. No one else knew that she was going. You feel even more relieved that you helped her, no one would have worried about her for days or would have known where to look for her. She also tells you her friend's address, it's really close to your house. You figure that the two of you can make the hike tomorrow morning. You abandon your plan of night travel for now, your new companion needs rest after nearly dying in an auto accident. The wooded stretch in front of you is dense and uninhabited. Even the road she was forced off of is rarely ever used.
You also remember that you never asked you her name. She tells you her name is Samantha, or Sam for short. Once the two of you are sufficiently acquainted, Sam starts to drift off. It's spring, but the nights still have a small chill, and she lacks a permanent fur coat. You move close to her and put one of your arms around her shoulders. Leaning against your torso, she falls asleep. You plot your next course of action until you too fall asleep.
