The respirator on your scuba gear gives a low hiss as you turn your light to the side of the room where you saw the glint of gold. There it is again, something over there is catching the light of your flashlight.
Excited, you pick your way through the rubble to see what it is. Right there, under a small pile of loose planks.
Pushing the wooden planks aside with a little struggle you gasp in shock and push away, your eyes becoming wide as
dinner plates.
There, against the side of the ship crushed under a rusted canon, was a decaying skeleton. You go up a little closer and
judge by the fancy hat and coat that this must be captain White!
Looking down you even see the decaying remnants of the captains infamous peg leg. This is amazing!
You see the strange glint again and see a small chest wrapped in the dead bodies arms, a rusting metallic chest with silver trim and what looks to be a heavy lock, that's the glimmer you saw.
You hesitate a moment, but this is to good a chance to pass up. You reach forward with trembling hands and wrestle the
chest out of captain Whites cold dead grasp with a sickening, muted crunch of old bones.
Making a disgusted face you hold the chest close and note the fact that it's much lighter than you expected. Taking a
last look at the skeletal remains of the captain the turn around and make your way back up through the interior of the
ship.
You brake the surface of the water right next to your little dinghy that displays the name 'S.S. Choppy' and heave the chest
onboard.
Right in the nick of time. You think to yourself taking a look at how much oxygen you had left.
Wrestling off your gear you place the small chest on the seat in front of you, pondering it a second you grab the lock and simply try to pry it loose. No deal. You think as the lock remains... locked.
Heaving an exasperated sigh you start up the engine and point your dinghy towards the dock.
Your out of your wet suit and into some dry clothes looking down at the chest on the work table in your garage. Raising a
heavy duty pair of shears to the lock you grunt loudly and press down.
With a tremendous cracking sound the lock snaps and dangles open. You shout triumphantly and raise your fist in
success. Tossing aside the useless chunk of metal that was the lock you flip the lid of the chest open and gasp as you
find...
