“Ohmygod! Ohmygod! Ohmygod!” Gina was jumping up and down as Debra’s office door closed. “It worked! It really worked! Do you realize what this means?”
“I don’t know, Gina. Maybe we should change him back.”
“Change him back? Are you kidding? Didn’t you notice how professional and nice he was in the staff meeting? He didn’t make one derogatory comment; he didn’t give anyone a lewd glance. It was an awesome meeting!”
“I know, but maybe it’s not right to change someone against their will.”
“Seriously? He’s gorgeous! Who would be unhappy with a body like that?”
“Maybe you’re right.”
“Of course I am! Now…who are we changing next?”
“Gina! I can’t believe you! We’re not changing anyone. This is really freaking me out!”
“Oh, stop whining! We need more men in this office. Too bad you made Rich gay.”
“I could make him straight again.”
“Naw, let’s not risk it. He’s too nice this way. Besides, I still couldn’t do anything with him. I’d always know it was actually Richard.”
“I can’t believe you! Are you listening to yourself?”
“Debra… think about it. All our lives, we’ve dreamed about meeting “Mr. Right.” Then, we get stuck at THIS place with no men except our former prick Richard. Suddenly, an opportunity presents itself to create our dream guy and you don’t want to jump on it?”
“I still don’t know.”
Gina walked around to Debra’s computer. “Look, there’s a “revert to original” button right there, which means anything we do can be undone. Please! Let’s do this! We deserve it!”
“Okay…. But I don’t want to do anything to any of the women. They don’t deserve it and it’d be too weird.”
“Oh, you’re no fun. Let’s see. What does that leave us with? There’s that new security guard. What’s his name, Sean? You know, the blonde one.”
“Yeah, and there’s the janitor, Octovio.”
“Eew! Debra, he’s like 65!”
“Yeah, but he’s really sweet, and he doesn’t have a family. We could make him younger, right?”
“I guess.” Gina, smirked as she considered her options. Suddenly she perked up! “Oooo! What about Marti?”
“The receptionist? How’s that going to help you find a guy.”
“Well,” Gina’s eyes sparkled an evil grin. “she’s kinda got that alternative, punk thing going for her, and I always find that sexy in a guy.”
Debra watched as Gina turned the possibilities over in her head.
