Mike opened the door to the attic. The dark steps loomed ominously and thousands of spiders seemed to have lived here before in some strange phenomenon disappeared all at once.
"You first" Sei said looking over Mikes shoulder
"Thanks for the support..." Mike said standing completely still
"Well?"
"Well what?
"Are you going?"
"Are you?"

The storm continued outside. Erick looked over his shoulder to the disappearing shape of Johnathon, Ryan's younger brother, who was heading to the other side of the house looking for candles.
The house was giving him the creeps, not only was it cold and dark, but he was starting to notice things... The rooms he passed seemed strange, like they had been set up nice and neat for someone, then just left there for ages, but the thing that really made him on edge was that every once and a while he would notice that someone had been in the room... recently! Rings of dust signified objects that had moved that had once protected a counter or desk from the settling dust in the air, or the broken cobwebs that clung to doors... something just wasn't right
As Erick thought about this he walked into the next room. A fireplace stood in the corner, a ember glowed ominously and flickered out as if it were never lit, Erick shivered. There was a portrait on the wall so layered in dust the figure could not be made out.
Something caught Erick's eyes. under the portrait was a chest with gold metal on the edges... it looked expensive.
Walking over to the chest greed bribed his fear with talks of free loot just for the taking. Reaching out he opened the chest. His eyes opened in expectation as the chest creaked open. Looking inside the box was a single gold ring. Erick felt almost disappointed, but a free ring was a free ring.
Reaching inside the box he picked it up and held the ring up in the moonlight, thunder boomed ominously as the ring glinted in pale light... Erick laughed.
On the side of the ring was the initials of the figure in the portrait. Erick tossed the ring up and snatched it out of the air before lining the ring up with his finger, he couldn't wait to show his friends what unfortunate initials the owner of the house had...
