Christine calmed after a time and tried to think her way out of this. It didn't take long for her to realize that she was more than a tree. The fact that she could still think and feel and had a sense of the forest around her told her that.
Slowly, she came to realize that she wasn't the tree, but rather a resident inside of it. She and the tree were merged on a magical level that she could sense. As time passed, as the tree got over the shock of its instant creation, she started to gain some control and more of her senses. She first got her hearing back, and she could hear the sounds of the woods. It wasn't long after that she could smell the scents of the forest. As her tree grew, she got more and more powerful.
One morning, as the sun rose, she felt the grip of the tree loosen slightly and she managed to simply step away from it.
She found herself standing at the edge of the pond on a summer morning, naked. She looked herself over and realized that she had gotten a makeover herself, with larger, firm breasts and a slight green tinge to her skin and hair.
She tried to walk away from the tree, but found that it wasn't long before it pulled her back. She returned, stepping on something next to the tree. She dug it up and realized that it was the dagger that she'd carried before she was changed, only now it was horribly corroded. How long had she been trapped?
