After some deliberation, the group departed for the mansion, Tim leading the way after some strong "prompting" from Rick. The other three followed close behind, with Rick at the rear lugging a keg of beer and Stanley carrying some cups and chips just beside him. Sara wasn't helping with any of it, lost in her own world of thought while she watched the mansion intently, thinking through just what they could do while they were in there. Once they reached the front door, Tim stopped.
"Why'd you stop?!" Rick demanded, but Tim just shook his head.
"It doesn't feel right. I just don't think we should walk in like this, without being invited or anything."
Rick let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing his brow. "Look, if it makes you feel better, knock on the door. Don't be such a damned coward."
There were few things Tim hated in the world, and being called a coward was one of them. The moniker certainly fit him, but he hated it nonetheless, so he slammed his fist to the door several times, his face red with anger. Rick started smirking when he saw just how furious he'd made his friend, but that smirk vanished when the door began to open, and his face turned white when he saw who - or what - was answering it.
It was a maid that came to the door, but aside from the outfit she didn't look like any other maid anyone there had seen before. Even her uniform was a tad bizarre, made of latex that squeaked every time she moved rather than fabric, but that was by far the most normal thing about her. Her face was more cat than human, pointed ears sticking up out of her luscious brown hair and a small muzzle with a little pink nose sticking from her face. Her entire body was covered in a thin layer of white fur, from her head to her legs and even right along her paw-like hands and slender arms, as well as across what was visible of her moderately sized bosom beneath her tightly-laced bodice.
"Y-y-y-y-yo-you're a... a... a..." Tim stuttered.
"A maid, yes. Please, all of you, come inside, you'll catch your death out there. The masters are away tonight, but I'm certain I can accommodate your needs, whatever they may be."
Rick blushed, his face turning a rare shade of red that wasn't associated with anger or impatience. "No, we were just going to-"
"Nonsense! You must come in, I simply won't take no for an answer! And I see that you've brought your own refreshments... well, you can leave them outside. I'm sure I can prepare something for all of you. Now please, quickly, in! It'd be best to get all of you inside before the cold beats you to it!"
