Martin

added 15 years ago O

Martin, a pale nerdish boy in corduroy pants, an Polo shirt complete with pocket protector and real thick coke bottle glasses, was visiting his favorite place, the school library. Here there were no bullies, no teachers to show their incompetence and demonstrate their lack of enjoyment in teaching. Here there were only books.

It was lunch period and seeing how his lunch had been stolen once again, he decided to spend the time in what he considered a normal place.

Ducking pass the Librarian, Miss. Simpson, he was just passing through the stacks on the way to the world history section, when he saw something completely out of place.

Or more correctly, someone. He knew Alex and had a crush on her. He loved her since he first saw her in the eighth grade. But he knew that with her tomboy looks and later on her choice to date woman, his chances of getting a date were slim to none. Figuring he would ignore her, he was just about to duck down the next aisle over when something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye.

Wondering what she would look naked, he glanced up at the clock and realized that it he didn't draw himself from his dream world, he would be later for class. Rushing through the stacks to put the history book back, he made up his mind about whatever Alex had hid; he would take it and examine it in the next class.

In the section Alex had been, Martin pulled down the old encyclopedia and quickly started to thumb through it. In the end all he found was a blank piece of paper. Curious, he stuffed it in his book bag, returned the book from where he found it and took off for science class, with a stern warning hollered after him from Miss. Simpson about students running in the library.

For him science, his next class, was really easy and luckily, the teacher was giving a lecture from the book. Knowing that the only class he had with Alex was first period math, he knew that he would not see her again for the rest of the day.

Choosing to ignore Mr. Keyes, Martin pulled the paper from his book bag and laying it on his desk, watched as words began to form on the paper. He read...
