"You know," Jeannie mused to Ms. Chan,"You still haven't finished your change into a fairy."
With that, she swept her hand down in a brief gesture. Ms. Chan's eyes widened in alarm but before she could speak or otherwise react, her body began to diminish. In a few seconds she had shrunk to conventional fairy size and found herself hovering a few feet off the floor.
"What have you done to me?" she wailed, her voice clear and surprisingly loud, considering her new size.
"I've just finished changing you," Jeannie told her. "You're a fairy now." She turned to Principal Norwood, "To think, only a few minutes ago, she didn't believe in fairies or genies or, I suppose, satyrs. She believes now, though."

Jeannie smiled at him, as if reading his mind. "I think you and I should have a private talk," she told him.
"What about my wife?" he blurted.
"You can have a private talk with her later." Jeannie suggested.
"What about me?" Ms. Chan cried.
"I think you need to get used to your new situation. Practice flying, look at things from a new angle, all that." Jeannie winked, although whether at Ms. Chan or Principal Norwood it was hard to say. "You'll want your wand, though." She wiggled her fingers and a tiny fairy wand reappeared in Ms. Chan's fingers.
"Now go play outside for a while," she instructed Ms. Chan and pointed to an open window. She reached for Principal Norwood's hand and tugged him to her. "While you and I..."
