The note's affect on the gardener

added 15 years ago AR BM S O

Angus was lonely and would love to visit the native shores of Scotland again. Touching the pen to the paper, he watched as the lettering disappeared and something new formed.

Question 1: What is your name?

"What kind of daft question is that," Angus muttered. Licking the end of the pen, he wrote down his name, Angus MacLeod.

Question 2: Where are you right now?

Angus sighed and then wrote down with a heavy heart that he lived in America.

Question 3: Where would you like to be living?

Writing down, Dundee, Scotland, Angus failed to notice as the world outside shifted.

Question 4: If you could, would you like to be a wee lad again?

A simple 'Aye'.

Question 5: Would you live in today's times or the time when you first left?

Angus was stumped over this question. Finally in the end, he figured that he would probably live in today's times, rather then going back and possibly mucking something up. Writing that down, he watched the question and his answer vanish.

Question 6: If you could redo your life, how old would you start it from?

Angus puzzled over the question and then wrote down that he would be age four; the age he had been when he had first come to this country with his mum and dad.

Question 7: What is your height and weight?

Angus thought long on this one. Math had never been his strong point, but he knew enough to get by and after a bit wrote down thirty nine pounds and forty one inches.

As the next question formed, Anus had to lean further onto the counter. "Is it just me, or did everything just get bigger?" he thought.

Question 8: What are you wearing?

"The traditional clothes for wee lad." was all Angus would answer. So intent was he, he failed to notice as his clothes shifted.

Question 9: Little boy, what does your mummy and daddy do for a living?

Angus sat back, puzzled at this question. It was then that he noticed the changes. As he was looking at his hands, wondering how he had been changed to a four year old, a man approached him and said, "Son, if you ain't gonna buy something, I'm going to have to ask you to leave." in a thick Scottish accent.

Not sure what was going on, Angus left the store. Wondering how he had gotten to Scotland, why the laundry mat had been turned into a store, he gasped as new memories began to flood him. He knew all the particulars of this new life, while the thoughts of his old one where gently lost. Wondering where he good go to finish the Questionnaire, he began to wander about.
