Malcolm and Evan entered the men's room and
stood in front of adjacent urinals.
"Nicholas sure is hot," Evan said, as he
unzipped.
"Yeah," Malcolm agreed.
Suddenly, through some vents in the opposite
wall, a pink mist flowed into the men's room.
Still facing the urinals, Evan and Malcolm
didn't notice the mist until it had engulfed
them.
"What the hell is this?" Evan wondered,
finished and zipped up again.
Malcolm waved an arm through the mist, which
divided and swirled in the air. "Never seen
anything like it."
"Whatever," Evan said. He stepped toward the
sink to wash his hands.
Malcolm, standing behind his friend, was the
first to notice something strange. Before his
eyes, Evan was growing smaller.
He started to comment, but Evan noticed, too.
As he stretched his hands toward the stream
of water, he had to reach further. Suddenly,
he realized his face barely reached the edge
of the sink. His clothes felt far too loose.
He turned toward Malcolm. "My God! Evan,
you're shrinking."
Suddenly, Evan's shorts fell down to his
ankles. He stared at Malcolm, puzzled. "But
you don't look any bigger to me," Evan told
Malcolm.
That's when Malcolm's shorts also fell to his
ankles. "Shit!" Malcolm exclaimed. "We've got
to get out of here."
Before they could flee, their own clothing
overwhelmed them. Each man found himself
engulfed in a huge expanse of cloth. Evan and Malcom each frantically beat
his way out of his own pile of clothes.
Upon reaching open air, they stared at
each other in shock across the expanse
of the filthy bathroom floor. They were tiny!
From the way they measured up to
everything else, each realized he was
about eight inches tall . . . not that they
consciously figured this out. Their minds
were much more occupied with the HOW
and the WHAT NEXT than the particulars
of the situation.
They were both crossing the floor to meet
in the middle when they heard a loud
bang. Someone else was entering the
restroom! They cringed in terror, but there
was no place to hide
"It's Nicholas!" Evan exclaimed as the
giant entered the restroom.
"My God!" Malcolm gasped "He's huge!"
Evan began waving his hands and
shouting.
"What are you doing?" Malcolm asked,
grabbing his friend's arm.
"We've got to get help," Evan said.
"Nicholas can help us."
Malcolm wasn't entirely convinced.
Seeing Nicholas so huge and powerful
was unnerving.
By that point, however, there wasn't any
need to argue.
Nicholas had seen them.
"What the hell?" Nicholas exclaimed.
"Evan? Malcolm? What happened?"
