You burst through the hedge, and see the back of a young man. He's wearing denim jeans and a matching jacket. He is wearing brown leather belt and short brown boots. You smell his scent. You charge toward him barking.
He turns toward your bark and stoops to greet you. You know your master's scent.
"Good, Bruno, good boy," the man says securing a leash to your collar.
The man whose hands and face you're licking looks familiar. He was shouting and angrily waving his fist last time you saw him. Part of your brain screams, "How did he find me?" but your new canine brain rejoices, "I'm so glad Master found me."
He laughs as if he can see the mixed feelings in your dog face.
"Bruno, it's good to have you back, and the best part is that instead of living a normal dog's life of maybe 10-20 years, you're going to have a human life span thanks to your donor body."
Donor body? Is that what you are? Is the dog mind going to wipe out your existence?
"Oh, don't worry, you'll still retain your human memories and mind, it's just you're now the passenger in Bruno's body. You exist as an observer, along for the ride. It's only fair as you hit and ran killing the original Bruno with your truck." He grins.
"It took a while to track you down. Then I had to administer the nanobots slowly into your diet. Those "free" energy bars you got in the mail. Once your body was saturated, all that was needed was to get the collar and jockstrap on you to activate them. The final nanobots made up the jockstrap, that's why they vanished into your new shealth and body as you changed. Now let's go walkies," he says.
He starts to walk and taps his thigh. You trot happily after him.
