Andrew, always a fan of old-school 2D side scrollers decides to give it a go and looks again, squinting in the dark room for a card slot but can't find any, just an opening for quarters which he unfortunately can't seem to find at the moment.
Pondering this for a second he smirks and looking both ways to make sure no one is around, kicks the damaged coin box panel hard, popping it open with a quiet snap, breaking off the worn holding tab and freeing the door. The box itself is empty but he finds what he's looking for; a small glowing red button that tells the machine a coin has been inserted, pressing it a bunch of times.
The machine suddenly flashes to life, making loud coin chinking sounds, indicating that he was successful, showing seven credits for player 1. He then presses the player 1 button and is rewarded with a golden menu screen displaying several different playable characters, all the while playing a catchy heroic theme.
