You feel your rubber body stickiness adhering to the iron horseshoes. It's odd how your body has remolded itself, but what is odder is how natural your new form feels. It's easy to forget that you ever were humanoid.
You spend the night sealed in the darkness of the athlete's bag. In the morning, you feel the bag shift and hear a zipper opening. Light streams in, and you can see that you're in a dorm room. The guy who put you in the bag is dressed in a polo player's uniform. There is another young man, who also has an athletic build, but is much larger physically. The other man is wearing only a towel.
"Here are your horseshoes, Shawn," the smaller man says.
He holds the bag out for the big guy.
"Uh, Kyle, I'm not sure about this," the guy says taking the bag.
"Come on, Shawn, I can't play without you," Kyle said, "So if not for me. Do it for the team."
Shawn shrugged, grabbed a bottle of Old Spice bodywash and headed down the hall to the bathroom. He hung the open bag of horseshoes from a hook by the showers. Then he pulled off his towel and hung it on the hook next to the bag. Through the opening you had a good view of Shawn as he lathered up. If you still had eyes they would've widened as the lather washed away to reveal that lower half of Shawn's body was covered with reddish brown and white hair. His feet and legs seemed to have gotten all spindly. As you watch his bubble butt swelling with something beneath the now chestnut skin, you are surprised to see a pair of hooves explode out of each butt cheek. Shawn leans forward and bucks out the rear end of a horse. You suddenly realize that you're looking at a centaur. Shawn finishes washing off, and then trots over to towel off.
You are amazed at the huge equine body standing over you. Shawn seems even larger and more muscular as he takes you and the horseshoes out of the bag and arranges them on the bathroom tile floor. He carefully positions and repositions each shoe before walking on to the first shoe. He uses his powerful hoof to drive the shoe nails into his single hoof. You feel his muscles wince as smoosh to form a seal between his hoof and horseshoe.
He repeats this exercise three more times until the centaur is properly shod. The sound of his metal hooves on the tile and then on the dorm's hardwood hallways echoes through the entire dorm. He trots down the stairs and out the door. Then Shawn gallops across the quadrangle toward the athletic buildings and the polo field beyond. Each foot fall puts the equine human hybrid's full weight on you. He's huge, but the sensation is exhilarating. Briefly as each hoof moves up out of the grass for a second before descending you glimpse the trees and buildings rushing passed. The periodic stone imbedded in the grass jolts Shawn's hoof and you. You are pleased that you are cushioning Shawn's hoof from the harsh rocks.
Shawn canters to a halt, as Kyle hails him. Kyle is carrying his polo mallet, wearing boots, hat and gloves. There is a saddle and a harness on the ground next to him.
"I told you no saddles, Kyle," Shawn stated obstinately and setting his hooves firmly on the ground.
"Bareback it is then, but you still need the harness. It's the rules," Kyle answered picking up the harness.
