At night, the Zoo was an entirely different place - it seemed as if sometimes, security guards would vanish for no good reason. The Zoo had originally been suspected in many disappearances over the course of the fourty years it had been around...but the trail would run cold. No trace of missing people had been found at the zoo.
Kyle and Felicia didn't know it, but during one night there was a large silverback gorilla watching them from behind the large fence. AT least ten feet up, the figure could be seen at night.
This time, the ape was looking down at the recent additions to the zoo. It had been like this for three weeks. The two just slept there, next to each other.
"What exactly is it with you and those animals, Ezekial?" A voice said.
The elder gorilla looked back at the voice speaking to him...it was a small otter. While no one would think they were doing anything other than just looking at each other curiously, they were really speaking a language of their own...a universal language...
"Honestly I don't know...are they feral or are they transformed, like we are. They don't even seem to talk, but I bet they talk with each other alright," He responded.
"The guys are missing you you know," The otter thought back, "They thought maybe you were sick or something."
"Oh come on, I can do that anytime."
"Yes, but you missed Paul's paid vacation. He's coming back tomorrow and is turning back tonight."
"Is that really? I best head over, I got a favour of him to ask."
