"Where're we meeting tonight, Garret?" The gorilla named Ezekial asked.
"The usual spot, inside the large Vet building. Head over there, maybe you'll miss him."
The gorilla quickly turned around and started to pound his way over to the largest building in the zoo other than the visitor's centre. The veterinary building. It was meant to house all sorts of sick and or inured animals like all other buildings...but when your patients were bigger and heavier than anything you could imagine...yeah. Let's just say it and the outdoor event centres were the perfect place for the transformed to have their meetings.
During these meetings, one door was kept open. It was a rather large door, almost like a garage door. This was meant to admit large animals such as Elephants, or to even take a truck inside. (There was a loading dock but it was on the other side.)
It got very smelly inside the vet clinic, and there were quite a bit of complaints that they should leave it open to let it air out. The managers agreed, but there were still some days that they had to lock it whenever there were no guards posted. During these days, there just were no meetings or gatherings.
The heavy silverback bounded into the door, heading off into the large animal pen area without even so much as a word of greeting towards the various animals and even a few humans there.
"Sorry, I was just watching our new arrivals!" The gorilla thought to all the animals.
"Gorilla's get senile as well?" A jackal thought, "You promised something."
"Oh what?" He mumbled mentally, "Paul? Figured I'd see him off at least. Not that much a stag can do with a gorilla."
"That we would play a few rounds of transform or dare!" The stag that had to have been Paul thought.
"...really? Well you know...Paul, I actually have a favor to ask of you. There are two new walruses inside the pen-"
"Ezekial," a Jackal said, "You promised that you'd actually play...you haven't gotten to play within a few years."
"...yeah yeah yeah, can you please let me ask Paul something before we turn him human?"
