Dan felt himself slowly regain consciousness. But what had happened to him? Last he remembered, he had been turned into chocolate and eaten by his sister. Now he was somehow alive again, and staring up at the ceiling. But he was still unable to move, and his body felt very strange. What was going on?
Suddenly, he felt himself sit up. His body was moving without his control. Then, words began to emerge from his mouth, but in a voice that wasn't his own.
"Oh, Dan, you were so much better as chocolate than you were as a brother," it said. It was finally starting to dawn on him where he was right now. He wasn't in his own body, his mind had been absorbed into Kat's body when she ate him!
"Kat!" Dan's mind called out.
The chocolate-stained Kat became startled, and looked around the room to see who just called her. "Who was that? Who's there?"
"It's me, Dan!"
"Dan?" Kat looked puzzled. "Where are you?"
"I think I'm... inside your head."
"WHAT?" Kat shook her head rapidly, then started pounding it with her fists. "Get out of my head, you little twerp!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Can't you use your magic or something to get me out?"
A frustrated look crossed Kat's face. "If I could, I'd blast your little mind into oblivion. But I can't try anything like that with both of our minds being mixed together like this. I'm not that good yet."
"Then just tell Mom," Dan suggested. "I'm sure she can fix things."
"Are you crazy?" Kat shouted. "If Mom finds out I turned you into chocolate and ate you, who knows what she'd do to me! There's no way she can find out about any of this!"
"But people are going to notice I'm gone. What are we going to do?"
"Nothing, for now." Kat chanted something, then waved her hand. "As far as the rest of the world is concerned, I never had a brother."
Kat then looked down at her still chocolate-stained clothes and body. "Now, first things first, I really need to get cleaned up."
