"Jake," Conrad whispered as Jake took hold of his ears, "you need to stop this. I'm your friend."
"I know," Jake says as she rubs his ears, "now you can be so much more."
Conrad's ears start to lengthen with the rubbing, for a moment, the idea of being a kangaroo with Jake appeals to him, but he shakes his head to clear his thoughts, "Jake, you like me right?" Conrad asked, hoping to make some logical sense to his friend.
"More and more," Jake answered, still fondling Conrad's growing ears.
"I don't want to be a kangaroo, if you liked me, you'd understand that."
Jake didn't reply, but let go of Conrad's ears. Conrad relaxed for a moment, but tensed up again when Jake wrapped her arms around his head and start to pet his shoulder length hair. The feeling sent waves of warmth through his body. He felt himself almost involuntarily moving closer to Jake.
"I don't want," Conrad mumbled, unable to clear his thoughts.
"What?" Jake asked, smiling as his friend's once black hair became a layer of brownish fur.
"I don't want," Conrad's eyes slowly closed, "don't stop, it feels so good."
Jake pulled her friend closer and and placed her hands on either side of his face, cupping his still bare cheeks.
Conrad opened his eyes and stared into the dark eyes of the female in front of him. His own eyes started to darken as he leaned his head in and kissed Jake.
As the two kissed, Conrad's face cracked and stretched. His nose darkened and fur exploded from his face. His face pushed out into a muzzle, leaving him with the head of a kangaroo.
As the two let go of each other, Conrad looked down at his shirt, covering his still human torso.
"Almost ready, my mate," Jake said, drawing little patterns on Conrad's chest with her finger.
