Mary had always found ottsels cute. She wasn't sure it would be possible to become one for real but decided to try it anyway.
She carefully combined the contents of the otter and weasel vial into a shot glass.
After taking a deep breath, she brought the glass to her mouth and drank the contents of it.
Dizziness almost overcame her the moment she drank it. The room seemed to spin and strange images flooded Mary's mind. She saw colours of all colours of the rainbow dance before her.
Then everything seemed to be getting bigger -- rapidly.
If Mary was worried about weight loss, she wouldn't have to worry about it for long. Her clothes seemed to grow to enormous size. Pants and panties fell down shrinking legs. Her shirt touched her knees then her ankles and then it was more or less a dress far too long for Mary.
Mary realized that it was her that was shrinking.
She managed to crawl her way out of the neck hole of her shirt.
Her torso was already growing longer and her legs stubbier. There was also the matter of the large tail sprouting from her tail bone.
A small patch of orange fur sprouted on her belly and began a march up and down her body.
As odd as it sounded, Mary suffered no pain or discomfort during any of this.
Her mouth and nose pulled out into a small muzzle, but her facial features seemed to remain somewhat human. Her eyes for example, remained at the front of her head and retained a human appearance. Even her hair seemed to remain.
Mary's tail was now long, powerful and took up most of where her rear end had been. While she felt a little funny not having an apparent butt, she knew that she had to expect such things if she was to change her species.
Her entire body was soon covered by the orange fur, her feet were cute ottsel feet and her hands, while still human looking, had orange fur on top.
Mary was an ottsel.
"So, what does a female ottsel do in a non ottsel world?" Mary asked.
