'Well, ten dollars isn't too much,' you reason, and pay the old man. He then painstakingly writes out instructions on a yellowed piece of paper.
Thanking him you head back to your (mercifully air conditioned) hotel room and take a quick shower. Getting out, you see your less than impressive figure in the mirror, and wonder how much it could hurt to try the stuff the Chinese man sold you.
Reading the instructions you find it is some sort of ointment meant to be spread over your body-- all over your body, in fact.
Sniffing the oddly blue green gel, you are surprised to find it has a pleasant, although unidentifiable, odor. With a shrug, you go ahead and smear the stuff all over yourself, rubbing it in as the instructions instruct. It has a cool, tingly feeling, which seems to invigorate your body.
When done, you get dressed again and, feeling better than you have all day, you go out for a quick dinner and a movie. Upon returning, you discover you are feeling surprisingly tired, and so call it an early night and head to bed.
