"Hi! My name is Jay," the boy grins, wings tinkling. He wears a tunic and trousers, of the same leafy material as her dress.
Nikki finds herself grinning, his cheer infectious, even as there's a flutter as part of her rebels. That part is quickly squashed as Jay hands her a sweet, juicy cluster, and, blushing, she takes a bite out of it, giggling. "Hi. I'm Nikki," she says, a bit more reserved and shy. On some peculiar instinct, she offers it back to him.
"Aww, isn't that sweet?" Laila observes to Mae, giggling, "They're sharing the nectar! You know what that means."
"I do?" Mae asked, confused, "Oh, right, the... whatever it was for. That's somehow important."
"Yeah, the Fruit of Knowledge."
In truth, all pixies are entirely innocent creatures, like man was supposedly once upon a time. This state can be temporarily suspended by imbiding the nectar of the sugarbloom, its proper name to those who know such things being the 'Herb of Knowledge,' derived from the same legendary plant that gave man his knowing.
As Nikki and Jay shared the nodule, they felt their minds blossom, beyond that of pixie or even mortal man, with unfathomable creative potential, focused into a single stretch of time...
Jay took Nikki's hand, a bit shy himself. Nikki, no longer uncertain, gave it a squeeze, her pink wings fluttering as the pair found a secluded flower high up. He brushed her pink hair aside, and bent in low for a kiss, one she returned eagerly, before his hands slid her dress off...
---------------------
Later that day, Nikki found herself alone. She looked around, noticing that she was on a drooping flower petal, sheltered by the blossom. She felt warm, and pleasantly sore, and when her mind flitted back to the events of last night, she lay her head back, dumb-founded. Part of her knew exactly what happened, and that part, Nicholas Nimblepaws, felt like a grade A idiot and worse. The other part, the innocent personification of childhood innocence, has no idea what they did together and hopes she didn't get left out of all the good sugar.
What neither of them knew is that the singular force of creation had focused itself through their bodies, and was even now quickening within her womb.
