"Ug so this is the fighting part... What about that changing crud you mentioned earlier, Infel?" Harken queried after a little while. He was sweating from all the dodging and spell conjuring he had done over the past hour.
"Oh right. That. Well, you just picture it in your head and it happens. Do it to those who truly need guidance. Like let's say there's a gifted student but he's being pushed around too much to actually be successful - You can change him into something bigger so he has the power to do so. Alternatively, say there's a strong guy who abuses his prowess to extort people - you can change him into a weakling or a fatty for funsies. Though you'd have to change him back or at least lessen the effects over time as he begins to learn his lesson. All the people will automatically accept his new form unless they're like Miranda. The person who gets changed will remember, and so will anyone who sees them get changed." Infel paused for a brief moment while slapping Harken with more water.
"Ouch! I wasn't ready!" Harken yelled while his face began glowing red.
"That wasn't for training purposes, it just looked like you dazed off. I also have the strange urge to just... Hit you. It's probably your stupid face. Anyway, I'm a-going." With that, her visage disappeared from the puddle
"Gah. Does she hate me or what?" Harken muttered.
"I doubt it, she just wants to have a little fun. We can train some more if you'd like. After this, I want you to go try that changing bit so you can get the hang of it. I'll be there to help you along so no worries, you just need to pick out the target and then you'll go do it."
"What did she mean by I'd have to change them back? Why can't I leave a big jerk like, let's say Juan, as a little weakling? You and I both knows he deserves no pity." Harken was obviously angry at this Juan fellow. The truth was, Juan was the big Puerto Rican who constantly bullied and insulted people like Harken. He was almost kicked off the track team and swim team because of Juan, luckily for him, Harken was a good enough asset to keep.
"Well there's usually two sides to everything. Maybe he was raised to believe power is everything or maybe his life was crappy and now he's taking it out on everyone else. Either way, if he learns his lesson, you should change him back. If he learns only a little, then change him back a little bit until he fully learns it. Otherwise your magic would assume you're being a terrible person... You know what that means." Randi gave Harken a stern look, meaning it was probably something bad that would happen. "What about poor people like Trent? He has asthma, he's like an albino with that freakishly pale skin and red eyes... How about helping people like that instead of punishing others for the hell of it?
"Yeah... So if I do the right thing I get 'hero points' or something? I guess I could change both of them eventually. Maybe there's some other people I could help before them."
"Hero points? What the hell?" Randi said as she let out a little laugh.
"Infel and I were talking about it and... Well never mind that, I have the perfect person in mind! Let's go!" This time Harken was the one who placed his hand on Randi's shoulder to teleport somewhere else.
