A few hours later, Jen was giving a lesson in Ki Control. Setsuna, Ku, Kaede, Negi, and Asuna were all participating
"No, no, no! Asuna, you're too tense. You've got to relax." Jen said.
"What am I doing wrong?" Negi asked.
"You're thinking too much. Don't think, just focus." Jen said. A small ball of energy appeared in Asuna's palms. "Asuna! You've got it!"
"Cool, now what?" Asuna asked. The ball vanished.
"Take that energy, and force it up." Jen said. Asuna did and zoomed of the ground.
"I'm flying! This'll make my paper route a breeze!" Asuna yelled.
"Not so fast! You need to practice more before you try carrying stuff" Jen said.
"ANIKI!!!!!"
"Chamo!" Negi yelled. "Back from vacation already?"
"AHHHHH!!! Is that a talking weasel!?!" Jen yelled.
"That's 'Ermine' to you. Aniki, who's she?" Chamo asked.
"That's my new student." Negi said.
"Obviously from the magic world, you cloaked her right? She fight?" Chamo asked. Negi nodded. "Okay, I demand to see your full power!"
"Whatever." Jen said. "Kaioken x 20!" Jen was engulfed in a red, flame-like aura. Rocks were slowly lifting off the ground. A strong gust of wind was emenating from her. Everyone was staring in shock, including Evangeline, who realized she was toyed with.
"Impressive, but I'm gonna need to see an attack. Gimme all you got!" Chamo said.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes." Chamo said.
"Don't say I didn't warn you. Let's see..." Jen trailed off, "Konoka! Can you raise a barrier?"
"Um, I don't know how." Konoka said.
"Great, everyone who can, do it now!" Jen yelled. Yue, Negi and Evangeline all raised one huge barrier. Jen took to the air. "Kaioken x 30!" Jen's aura got thicker. She closed her eyes and raised both hands towards the sky. Energy began to fly out of the very environment itself, towards Jen's raised palms. Everyone stared in awe as a giant ball of pure energy formed. It was huge, about the size of of the Capitol Building's dome. Jen threw in 1 final burst of her own energy, causing it to double in size. "Spirit Bomb!!!!!!" Jen screamed as she thrust it out into the surf. It hit the surf slowly, digging itself into a crater, and finally exploding with the force of a nuke + 100 tons of dynamite. The explosion made a huge crater and vaporized most of the water. Jen's aura dissapated and Jen passed out. She fell like a rock.
"Jen!" Negi yelled. He let down the barrier and ran to help Jen. She recovered quickly. "What happened?"
"It was the Kaioken Attack. The more you use it, the more strain it puts on your body. I just need to practice." Jen said. She tried to get up, but her leg wouldn't move.
"Are you alright?" Negi asked.
"My leg won't move." Jen said calmly. Konoka heard this and came running. She pulled out a card and yelled "Adiat!" Her outfit changed completely. She waved her ubi fan and her leg healed somewhat.
"The injury was too major for me to heal completely. I've reduced it to a minor fracture." she said.
"That's cool. I'll take it from here." Jen said. She got up as if nothing had happened.
"Doesn't that hurt?" Negi asked.
"No, with ki control, you can shut down pain nerves and hold your bones together with ki. It's like an internal cast." Jen said.
"I wish I knew about that during the school festival! I could've moved onto the second round!" Ku said.
"What?" Jen asked.
"Jen, we've got stories to tell you." Asuna said.
"Konoka, can I see that?" Jen asked. Konoka handed Jen her card. "Oh my God! It's cute! I want one!" Chamo heard this and came running.
"You want one? Okay, all you gotta do is- AHHHH" Asuna had stomped on his tail.
"Not so fast pervin' ermine! You're not setting up another kiss! You got that!" she yelled.
"I didn't mean it like that I swear!!!" Chamo yelled.
"Kiss?" Jen asked.
"It's a magic ritual. To get a card, you gotta kiss Negi." Asuna said.
"Why's the card so special?" Jen asked.
"Long story short, it makes you more powerful." Asuna said.
"If I find an enemy too strong for me, I'll get back to you on that." Jen said.
"Now, to rework our battle strategy." Chamo said. "Now, of course, Jen should be in front-"
"Hold it, what are you doing?" Jen asked.
"Let me guess, you're a lone wolf." Chamo said.
"No, some of my best attacks take time to charge up. If I'm in front, we'll get clobbered." Jen said.
