After school, Negi, Asuna, Jen, Ku, Kaede, Setsuna, Konoka, Nodoka, Yue, and Haruna all went to Evangeline's cabin. In the basement was the model of a strange towertop resort.
"Jen, step into one of the circles." Negi said. Jen did so, followed by the others. They were all teleported into the resort.
"Wow, cool!" Jen yelled.
"Now that your in, you can't leave for 24 hours." Evangeline said.
"WHAT?! But we'll miss school!" Jen yelled.
"First of all, it's Friday. Second, for every day in here, only one hour passes outside." Asuna said. "Now, let's see those moves of yours."
"Okay, meet you at that beach down there." Jen said. She lifted off the ground and flew to the large beach.
"Whoa, she can fly!" Asuna yelled.
"Hey, I can fly too!" Negi complained.
"True," Ku said, "but she's leaving a battle aura behind, as if she was a comet." Everyone followed her down to the beach. Once they arrived, Ku spoke up. "Okay, is this good enough?"
"Yeah, this'll do. What should I start with... of course. Anybody who can use ki, watch and learn!" Jen put her wrists together, pointing her palms into the surf. "Here's one of my most basic moves. Kaaaaaa Meeeee" She pulled her hands back, still in the battle position, "Haaaaa Meeeee... HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" Jen yelled, thrusting her palms forward.. A Long, blue blast of pure energy shot out of her palms. "The Kamehameha Wave, pretty basic. But it's effective in battle."
"Wow, the surf was split!" Asuna yelled. Evangeline stared with an interested expression.
"If that's basic, I want to see your power." she said.
"If it's power you want, let's spar, if you can handle it!" Jen said.
"Very well. Stay out of our way everyone." Evangeline said. Everyone retreated to an overhang. "I'll start us off. Saggita Magica Series Obscuri!" she yelled. A dark purple energy arrow shot at Jen. Jen didn't move. She simply knocked the arrow out into the surf. "Let's see how you handle 11!" 11 of the dark energy arrows shot at Jen, she blocked each one with her right hand.
"Is that it? You're stronger than that, I can sense your power level." Jen said.
"TAKE THIS!!!!" a flurry of the arrows shot at Jen. They were more powerful this time. Jen, knowing she couldn't block them, put two fingers to her head and vanished. She reappeared behind Evangeline and hit her with a Roundhouse Kick, sending her flying and crashing into the tower. She recovered quickly and returned.
"Almost had me there. Try something else." Jen said.
"If you can handle it. Nivis Tempestas Obscurans!" she yelled. An unbelievably large blast of dark energy and tornado-like wind was launched at Jen.
"Oh shit! Big Bang Ka-me-ha-me-ha!!!!!" Jen yelled. A large ball of pure energy formed, out the other side, a very powerful Kamehaeha Wave was launched. It blasted a hole in Evangeline's attack. Jen flew through the hole preparing to counter. Jen's expression became filled with sadness. "Shishi Hôkôdan!" she yelled. Those words caught Ku's ear. Evangeline got blasted and lost consciousness. Everyone came running.
"Master!" Negi yelled. Chachamaru picked her up.
"She will be fine. She just passed out." she said. Ku approached Jen and slapped her.
"HOW COULD YOU USE THE LION'S ROAR SHOT SO IRRESPONSIBLY!!!!" Ku yelled.
"I'm sorry, I had no idea I was that depressed." Jen said.
"What are you two talking about?" Asuna asked.
"Shishi Hôkôdan, a move in Chinese Martial Arts, using negative emotions, like sadness, as a power source for energy attacks. The strength of the attack depends on how depressed the user is. That blast was very powerful. If it wasn't for Evangeline being an immortal vampire, she'd be dead." Eva woke up.
"Very good," she said, "I was out for 5 minutes. You've impressed me, and I'm not easily pleased."
