As he got home, he noticed the driveway was empty. Oh yeah, his parents had gone out for the night. Sweet, he would be able to avoid his doom for awhile. Paige, his older sister, wasn't home from work yet. They got along well enough, but now that she was almost 18, she'd been more distant, more concerned with college than her home life.
Not that he'd get to college with his grades.
He went inside, made a sandwich, grabbed a Coke from the fridge and went to his room, closing the door.
Sitting down at his computer desk, he opened the box while he munched on his sandwich.
The calculator itself was pretty big, and heavy, he'd need to use both hands to carry it around. Not only that, it required eight "AA" batteries! Rummaging around in his drawer, he found half a pack of batteries intended for his Nintendo DS.
He put them in, and turned the calculator on. There was a switch marked "NORMAL/MAGIC" and another one that said "FREE/TUTORIAL".
He hit MAGIC and TUTORIAL.
To is suprise, the calculator talked!
"Select voice. 1 for Robot, 2 for Man, 3 for Woman."
What to press?
