Tony slowly walked up the steps of the porch, approaching the front door. He cast a backward glance to the full moon, still blocked by the clouded sky.
Just before he was about to go into the house, he heard someone approaching the house. A quick glace and he saw it was his daughter Janice's boyfriend, Nate. Tony dashed into the shadows, out of sight. Nate would be his first target...yes...he would do.
Nate walked up the steps and was approaching the door when Tony jumped out of the shadows and bit Nate cleanly on the forearm. Nate cried out and recoiled. It took a second for him to realize that it was his girlfriends father.
"What the hell?!" yelled Nate, stepping back. His wound was starting to bleed. Nate entered the house and closed the door behind him.
Janice was sitting in the living room, watching T.V. She saw Nate walk into the house, obviously concerned.
"Your father has finally lost it. He just jumped me and bit me!" exclaimed Nate, walking to the kitchen.
"What?" exclaimed Janice.
"Yeah, can you believe that?" he replied.
Janice grabbed some paper towels and tried to wipe away the blood. She walked him over to the sink and turned on the tap, running the wound under the warm water. As the blood washed away, there was no indication of any sort of bite wound.
"It can't have been too bad, I can't even see the bite marks," replied Janice.
They both heard the front door slam.
"Honey, I'm home," called out Terry.
Janice marched back into the living room, fuming. She stopped dead in her tracks when she caught sight of him in the well lit living room. Tony had gained a significant amount of body hair, along with more pronounced canine teeth and there was a point to his ears.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" asked Janice.
"Well, I seem to be going through some changes," replied Terry. "I've been turned into a werewolf. And I'm to share this with you and your mother, and I decided to share it with Nate too."
"What?" asked Nate, walking into the living room. "What have you done to me?"
"By biting you, I've given you the gift. By the light of the full moon, you're going to change into a werewolf, just like I did. As soon as those clouds part, it'll happen..." said Tony.
"No...oh god, please no! Why would you do this to me?! pleaded Nate. He could feel his anger welling up inside of him. He grabbed Tony, flung open the front door and tossed him out. Tony slid across the porch, rolled down the steps and landed in the front yard right in front of a stray beam of moonlight.
Nate and Janice watched from the living room window as the transformation overtook him again. The growing fur, the elongating snout, the growing tail, his feet and legs changing, becoming digigrade
They both sat down and looked at each other.
"It's really true. I'm going to turn into one of those things, whether I like it or not..." muttered Nate.
"Oh Nate, I'm so sorry..." whispered Janice.
"What are we going to do?" he replied.
