"Kitty-Boy"
"Oh man," Jeff found himself muttering as he met his new roomate. Of all the weirdos to get stuck with at the new college.
Not that Rais was a bad looking fellow, he wasn't. In fact, he had a exotic quality that Jeff couldn't quite put his finger on that was actually very intriguing, but the guy had brought a whole bunch of weird stuff with him, and his attitude was definitely not normal.
"So, what's all this stuff for?" Jeff asked, as he watched the 19 year old unpacking what appeared to be vials, crystals and weird incense sticks. "You into some kind of religious stuff?"
Rais looked at him with an odd smile. "Yes, actually, as a matter of fact, you could say that, yes.. yes indeed."
("Man he even talks funny!" Jeff thought)
"My parents were Wiccan, and that's how they've raised me. We actually practice magic in my family."
"Oh riiiigh!" Jeff thought, but had the decency to keep the idea to himself.
"So all this stuff is for like, doing magic and such?"
"Yes," Rais answered with a wry smile that indicated he was used to being scoffed at by unbelievers.
"Uh huh," Jeff clearly didn't believe it. "So, shouldn't you have like a black cat or something?"
At this point Rais's face notably saddened and although he'd only meant it as a joke, Jeff realized he had somehow hit a nerve with the boy.
"I... I did have a cat, actually... until last week. There was an accident before I left home. But it doesn't matter now. I have plans to get a new familiar here."
"A familiar?"
"Yes, you know. A pet that has some magical qualities to it. The best are creatures of another kind that are now in the form of an animal. Spirits usually, but sometimes...." he smiles strangely at Jeff, "Others will do."
Jeff felt a really creepy sensation as Rais looked at him. The boy seemed to be sizing him up like a tailor might, trying to decide how he might look in a new outfit.
"Riiight, eh, look Rice..."
"Rais."
"Whatever... I just want to be straight up with you man and let you know that, I know you're my roomate and all, but I'm really not a believer in all that magic stuff, okay? So don't like, go trying to convert me, okay?"
"You seem pretty certain you can't be convinced."
"That's a safe bet," Jeff answered as he headed toward the bathroom to grab his shower.
"So anyway, you got your bed, I got mine, and we're sharing a room, but not our religions, okay."
Rais smiled slyly, "As you wish."
Jeff didn't want to argue, he decided he'd just get his shower and get to bed.
Going into the bathroom he quickly stripped down to get into the shower. He stopped and looked at himself in the mirror. He was a reasonably good looking boy, well built, attractive in handsome, boyish way. He wasn't sure what he'd expected from college but he was sure it wasn't a year with a freako roomate.
'This was going to suck,' he thought, as started the water in the shower.
Suddenly the door flew open and Rais stepped into the room
"Hey!" Jeff shouted, "Look man, if we're gonna share a room you're gonna have to learn to..."
Before he could finish Rais lifted some kind of liquid in one of his vials and with a shout of something Latin sounding, threw the contents on to Jeff!
"HEY!" Jeff shouted, "What the heck..."
But already, Jeff could feel something was changing. He felt different at once, his body seemed to be changing, growing younger.
"What... what did you do to me?" he cried out, his voice cracking strangely as Rais stood smiling down at him.
"I have need of a new familiar," Rais said, as if this was a total explanation.
"And I like you, so I have choosen you to be my new companion."
Before Jeff could protest he noticed the hair over his crotch was receeding...
"what's happening to me?" he whimpered, his voice sounding like a small child.
"In order to begin you again, I must first take you back to an earlier stage, then, the second part of the transformation can begin..."
