The strange growth of her ears and the hide and hair spreading across her chest made Angie wonder and worry. A call to Mr. Hopper did nothing to calm her feelings. Now even more than days before she wondered what possible deforming happened to her husband and children.
Now each morning brought the sight of blackening skin covered in thickening black hairs. After just a week Angie was using Mason's shaver to clear away the hair sprouting on her face. It was when the lower back pains became so bad that she finally broke down and made an appointment with the Foundation Doctor that saw her husband.
The day came for the exam appointment. As Angie got out of bed the pain in her back made her scream and reaching her hand to the spot found as did Mason a four inch long appendage.
At the medical exam the Doctor moted the new body part. Angie asked many questions which were answered in evaded phrases and "possible!"
At last Angie was sent home with a pain dampener and several viles of injection fluids for her use in fighting off the infection. Mr. Hopper was there with kind words of comfort and showed his undying consideration toward his friend's family.
As Angie was walking down the Hallway she clearly heard an Orderly ask Mr. Hopper for his signature to continue D.N.A. Flux treatments on Alex and Frank Dixson.
Mr. Hopper looked up to note Angie turning her head to listen as she continued to walk away. Signing the forms Hopper scowled at the Orderly. "You are clumbsey as an Ox, she might have overheard you ask for my signature, now get to work!" odered Hopper.
Mr. Hopper signaled for his righthand man. "I've had enough blunders from Orderly Hahn, have him injected with the new Bison Flux and put him in quarantine."
Angie wanted in the biggest way to turn and ask Mr. Hopper about her boys. The letters from the children as they explained their rooms and the food and treats provided ran through her mind. Most of all the statement made by Mr. Hopper about the boys learning to play while learning to ignor pains. She pondered this all in her heart.
