"Man, this seriously sucks!" Billy exclaimed, hiding, as best he could, his head with its one eye, and his unnatural mass, under an old blanket. He held the magnifying glass up to his lone, central eye and looked toward the apartment door, then towards Max, who had just stepped to one side of the door and was trying to see through a kitchen window. "What's going on? Why isn't he answering?"
"I'm not certain, but I think they are giving each other hand jobs," Max answered slowly, as if he couldn't believe his eyes. "We didn't do anything like that, did we...?"
Billy shook his head, then winced.
"Damn hangover!," he grunted, moving the magnifying glass and rubbing his eye. "No, or at least I don't think we did. We got pretty blitzed, I think."
Max, in Billy's body, suddenly straightened, and had to steady himself by grabbing the building's wall.
"They're coming! Er, I mean coming to the DOOR!" Max said, trying not to speak too loudly. Billy, whose eyesight was weak but his hearing fine, nodded.
A large guy, with a hairy chest and obvious erection, wearing only a pair of gym shorts, answered the door.
"Can I help you?" he asked. John eyed the big lump of a guy, whose seemed to be wearing an old quilt over his head, suspiciously, then saw the other guy. The tall and skinny dude from his last delivery. He vaguely remembered a big guy lurking in the background from that delivery. Tall and skinny stepped forward.
"I hope so," Max began tentatively. He'd never been truly athletic but, at least in his old body, he'd had some mass. He silently promised himself to start working out, whether or not he got his old body back. "Is you room-mate, John, home? He made a delivery to us earlier."
"Just a minute, I'll check," John offered. He stepped back inside, partially shutting the door, and a whispered conversation seemed to ensue.
"Yeah, what do you want?!" demanded the short, skinny delivery driver from the night before. For someone as small as him, he certainly seemed aggressive.
"Did you by any chance see a small disc, about the size of a quarter," Max explained.
Billy pushed his way forward.
"We think he accidentally gave it to you as part of our payment," he rumbled. He felt impatient-- all morning he'd found himself wanting action, not words! "It was a Greek medallion, we need it back!"
"I haven--" began Tony, only to have John grab his arm, and pull him back inside.
"What?!" asked Tony, glaring at his old body. "I thought you said that they were a couple of weirdos and we needed to get rid of them!"
"Yeah, but I think I DID get that amulet, or medallion thing!" John told his former body. "I was looking at it just before I became you! Maybe it has something to do with that! Maybe they can tell us what's going on!"
