You are walking down the street, and you notice a poor-looking
man and his wife in a humble little stand. She smiles at you, and
says something to her husband. He arises, and offers to shake
your hand. You look at it, but it's kinda dirty so you quickly shake
and let go. He tells you he'll give you a deal on a wish stone, only
five dollars. You have plenty, so you agree. Then the haggling
begins. "You know for only three dollars, I'll throw in a dress my
wife sewed."
You notice all the dresses are child sized, so you decide against
it, being single and all. "No thank you"
He says something to his wife, and she looks very offended. "Are
you sure you couldn't use it at all?"
"No, I don't think I could use it"
He hands you the stone. Out of courtesy you add "I wish I could
but I can't."
He smiles at you. Then he looks to his wife, and you feel very
light-headed. You remember swooning, then waking up in a
bed. You sit up, and notice that it isn't your face in the mirror. It's
the face of a young Chinese girl. You look down, and you are
wearing the dress that the old man tried to sell you. He enters
the room, and you shout "What did you do to me?"
He replies, "I answerred your wish, or rather the stone did. You
wished to use the dress, and you're filling it quite nicely."
You want to say something, but you begin to cry. You can't help it,
