Dana walked into the assembly hall, looking around. The assembly hall, at least, looked normal. The stands used for watching the school basketball team, usually carrying only sixteen or so people when used for that purpose, were stuffed full with students, a delicious feast for Astara. Dana's tail, not yet manifested, tied itself into knots with anticipation as she tried to put these thoughts out of her mind.
With a sigh of relief, she did. So long as she could focus, she knew she was stronger than Astara's succubus spell. She stopped feeling her tail thrash about, and took her place on one of the few empty seats left at the top of the stands, smirking as all the mortals stared at the new beautiful girl there. Nothing could get her down now.
Dana looked around the stands for a moment. Students were taking the opportunity to text-message their friends, talk with each other, and fool around, blissfully ignorant of what was about to happen. Dana took a moment to think about what the mortals trying to skip the assembly were doing, or if there even were any of them. Were they noticing that their school was changing right before their eyes?
A sudden silence washing over the assembled students caused Dana to jerk her head up. Had Astara's new servants come out while she was lost in thought? Looking around, she didn't see anyone. It was only when she started looking at the rest of the students did she realize what was going on. A strange weakness had washed over them all. Students sat down on the stands, their expressions frightened out of their minds, visibly straining and trying to get up or even speak. Some of the stronger willed ones were slowly dragging themselves away from their seats and trying to see what was going on. Dana lifted her right arm, then her left, and stood up without any worry. She looked down, at a cell phone that slipped from the hands of one of the girls in front of her.
As she leaned down to see if anything was wrong with it, all of the lights in the building suddenly changed, casting everything in a deep red.
"Hiiiii, mortals~" lilted a singsong voice.
