Ken walked upstairs, making his way towards Ben's bedroom. Just as he was about to reach for the knob, Elizabeth showed up, beaming.
"Oh, hello, Little One," she said, her smile irritating Ken even more. "You want to come with me?" Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed Ken by the hand and practically dragged him into her room, where Anna was waiting.
"Look what I found outside," she said, letting go of Ken and sitting down on her bed next to Anna.
Elizabeth's eyes were fixed on Ken, making him a little uncomfortable. "Oh, just look at him," she said, fawning over him like a little baby. "He's SO cute."
"Want to make him even cuter?" Anna replied, grinning over at her friend. As if they could read each other's minds, Liz nodded her head. She stood up and walked towards her closet. bringing out a handful of dresses and other clothing she wore.
"Oh, no," Ken said, backing up towards the door. Liz grabbed the makeup off of her dresser, smiling down at him mischievously.
"Come on," Liz said, grabbing Ken by the arm. "It'll be fun."
He yanked his arm away, furious. "Okay, Anna," he began. "I could stand being with your other friends. In fact, I even had a little fun. I even enjoyed playing Hide and Seek and hiking with you behind our house."
"But," he continued. "If I have to stand around while this ditz dresses me up like a little girl, I won't be responsible for my actions!" He folded his arms, to show that he meant business.
"Wow," Liz said, virtually unfazed "Even his RANTS are cute. You are SO lucky to have a little brother." She reached for Ken's arm again, her damned smile beaming down at him again.
He ran a little ways away from her. "Get away from me, you bitch!"
"What?" Liz said, standing there, hands on hips, glaring down at him. Her smile faded.
"You heard me," Ken continued. "You know, you'd be at least halfway sufferable to be around if you didn't have that 1000 watt smile constantly beaming 24/7. I mean, seriously. Do you know how irritating that makes me every time I'm around you?"
"Watch it, Ken," Anna warned.
"I don't care, Anna," he replied. "We spent most of the day together and, let me tell you, it was nothing special. I mean, I know you tried your best, but your best clearly was not good enough."
"Just hold on a minute," Liz interrupted him. "Just because--"
"Oh, put a sock in it, you cow," Ken replied. "You'll never be able to get married with a body like that, anyway. I mean, kudos on the breasts, but everything else needs serious improvement."
Elizabeth's eyes welled up and she ran off, slamming the bathroom door behind her.
"You're on thin ice, Kenny," Anna said, her arms crossed. She glared down at him.
"Look," he replied. "I appreciate the fact that you want me to remain your little brother forever. But it's not right! It's stupid of you to think that you can actually keep me like this and expect me to just toe the line.
"Oh, and just how much fun did you think a 16 year old would have playing Hide and Seek? That was just silly."
Anna just sat there, a little hurt. Maybe Circe was right. Maybe Ken WOULD eventually turn on her. She felt a tear form in her eye, but she forced it back, instead summoning Circe into the room.
"Circe?" Anna said aloud, as the same woman from Ken's dream last night appeared before her. She wore the same white robe as she wore in the dream. "You were right."
"I know, child," Circe replied, folding her arms. "I always am. Have you decided how to punish him?"
"Oh, yes," Anna replied, an angry look on her face as she looked towards her brother.
