Scottie made his way through the arcade, looking at all the games. He saw kids playing racing games, fighting games. They even had a "Dance, Dance Revolution" game set up. But none of them looked appealing to little Scottie.
The eight year old made his way towards the back of the arcade and walked through a small secluded door. The room on the other side had different feel than the main arcade area. Some of the overhead lights were either burnt out or flickering on and off. The walls were somewhat dirty and the room had an overall musty feel to it.
Scottie made his way around the room, looking at all the games. Most of the games were out of date, with the majority of them dating back almost three decades.
Instead of the video games that were featured in the main arcade area, the games in the room Scottie was in were mostly pinball games and games like that. He was about to leave, bored with the games in this room.
As he was about to leave, Scottie looked over in the corner of the room, to find a different game set up. He walked over to it and saw the magician staring back at him.
"Shoot a Coin in My Mouth and Get a Wish," was on a sign above the magician's head. Scottie shrugged his shoulders. This game seemed simple enough. He put a coin in and adjusted the ramp.
He fired and miraculously made the shot on the first try. The magician's eyes lit up, his head bobbing back and forth in a sort of mechanical celebration.
Scottie smiled and thought about what he wanted his wish to be. Before he could, a card shot out of the middle section.
"You Have Been Granted One Wish." The card said simply.
"What should I wish about?" Scottie thought.
