It was a sunny Monday morning when the abandoned house became occupied again. The rotted boards disappeared, the broken glass once again becoming solid panes. The once dead lawn became lively and green, and the moldy paint became a fresh coat of white.
Strangely, nobody noticed this change, nor did they notice the occupant that moved in. A young witch, Kathryn, had moved into the neighborhood. She had just moved out on her own, looking for a way to have fun with mortals. Her new home was now filled with the implements of magic, several magical items, a laboratory, her library of books, and many other ins and outs of magic filled the rooms.
Kathryn adjusted her long white robes and brushed her brown hair away from her eyes as she looked out the front window.
"Ah," she sighed with a smile, "a new day, time to make the most of it."
The witch thought about it for a moment and then decided where she wanted to go.
