“Yes! Awesome!” Max shouted with glee. “We won’t be stuck together forever now!”
“Thank you Luke!” Scott sounded just as thrilled. He turned his attention to Max, “So… want to do some proper father son bonding? This time we’ll be able to come apart when we want.”
“What?! Not a chance!” Max sounded horrified at the thought. “Sorry, I don’t mean to be and ass about it. But every time I fuse with someone, it goes wrong and we get stuck together without knowing if we can get apart. I think I need a break from all this ‘bonding’ for now. I’m just gonna head home...”
‘Mmm, that’s ok, I understand.” Scott sounded disappointed. Before he could say anything else, Max was already out the door. “Well, how about you mark?”
“Actually, dad…” Mark glanced at Ethan, who smirked back at him. “Me and Ethan… kinda… want to stay like this… for a bit at least…”
“But only if that’s ok with you Scott. If you want to be together, I won’t stand in your way.” Ethan looked Scott in the eye and nodded.
“No… it’s ok I guess. He and I can bond some other time. We’re pretty close as is really.” Scott looked dumbfounded but soon put on a giant grin. “If you guys want to know each other better, then go for it! I think it’s great that you want to be closer with my boys! Really!”
