Meanwhile, Luke sat back down on the couch and crossed his arms. He wanted to be with his dad. Alone! He didn’t want to share him. When it was Scott and Ethan together it was ok. But his best friend and his dad?! He couldn’t take it.
“Fine!” Luke sounded angry, “You two can stay together then, I won’t help split you…” With that, Luke walked off into the kitchen. Ethan and Mark both sighed, knowing that Luke was mad and why. They didn’t intend to make him angry; they were just starting to get use to each other, no longer trying to distance themselves. And Ethan wanted to know what Mark was hiding. Ethan pulled at the shirt they were sharing, “This might be a bit much for him. I don’t think he likes seeing me fused to someone else.”
“No, that’s not it.” Mark disagreed, “it’s because I’m his friend. Earlier he said he didn't mind you two together.” Mark pointed at Ethan and Scott, “just that he felt sort of left out was all…”
Mark and Ethan looked up at each other, and then smiled. “Well ok then!” Ethan cheered. Ethan and Mark walked in to kitchen and saw Luke sitting at the table with his head down. “Umm, Lu…” Ethan began to say.
“Hey! Luke! What do you say me and you do some bonding of our own?!” Scott enthusiastically shouted as he followed behind Ethan and Mark. Luke’s head shot up and he turned to Scott in surprise.
‘Really?” Luke questioned in a hushed voice. Scott nodded his head rigorously as he knelt down and put his arm across Luke’s shoulders. “Okay! Yah!”
“Cool, let’s get to this then!” Scott watched as Luke ran to grab the suit. Scott and Ethan exchanged nods in thanks.
“Sorry! I forgot I don’t need it!” Luke ran back into the kitchen. “So, How do you want to be stuck?!”
“Well, I’ve already been two-headed, chest to chest, and that horrible chest back way…” Scott was lost in thought, “I’ve always loved the three legged race though!”
