Slowly, Jennifer got to her feet...er...talons. She stood in front of her mirror, trying to regain her balance. That would definately take some getting used to. Standing up, she realized that her arms looked awkard as she tried to hold them at her side. Folding them in front of herself looked much more natural.
She practiced walking a bit. Taking a few steps forward and a few back until she dared try and waddle up the stairs to her bedroom. She had to cling to the railing, but with a little effort, she finally found herself in her room, and her wardrobe completely changed.
Her closet was nothing but a bunch of oversized shirts that hung down her body. It still didn't hide the tail, but it was better than nothing. As she dressed, the pain in her stomach began to build, but she didn't have time to worry about that. School was about to begin, and she didn't want to be tardy again this week.
