Both Luke and Max were surprised they ended up at lake, unsure of who drove them there.
"Luke? Did you drive here?" Max asked.
"Hmm, maybe. Me and my dad use to come camping here one weekend out of each month when I was younger." Luke smiled, thinking back to the good times he and Ethan use to have. Back before they argued all the time and couldn't even talk with each other. But thanks to the suit, their relationship had turned much better. That was until Max and he had walked in on him and Mark.
"Grr..." Max growled, feeling Luke's anger through out their body. "This use to be our little special camping spot, but now I can't enjoy it after seeing Mark and my dad doing that!"
"Ya I know!" Luke had clenched his fist. "I can't believe... that..." Luke trailed off and looked in the rear-view mirror, "Max, are you ok?"
"Ya I'm fine, why?"
Luke stared at Max, "Well, you just said "Mark and my dad" right? Since when is Ethan, your dad?"
"Umm, since forever?" Max looked a bit confused. He pointed at a spot on the ground, "Right there. That's where me and him first set up our tent, and then when it rained we got flooded."
Umm, no..." Luke sighed, "That's where ME and him set it up."
"Your right!" Max was surprised, "Why am I remembering me and him doing that?!"
Luke sighed again, "I think our head has been together too long. I think we should split..." Luke leaned away from Max as he pushed him towards the passenger seat. They literally popped apart, sending Luke into the window, and Max banging his head on the passenger arm rest.
Luke rubbed his head, but began chuckling when he saw their body. Their upper torso had split, leaving them conjoined just below their ribs. Max lifted himself back into the driver seat, while Luke shifted over to make room.
"I still can't believe they were doing that..." Max shook his head in disappointment, not caring that a tear ran down his cheek. "I thought me and Mark had some special bonding, beating off together when we were two-headed. Now it just seems like anyone will do."
"I know how you feel Max." Luke put his right arm around Max's shoulders pulling him to his side. "I did the same thing with my dad..."
Max turned and pushed Luke away glaring at him through watering eyes. Luke was shocked and about to say something before Max stopped him, "And with Mark? And with MY dad?!"
Luke was in complete surprise, "Max... how did you..."
"We were sharing a fucking brain dumb ass!" Max screamed in Luke's ear. "I couldn't make sense of it before because all our memories were mashed together. But now that I can think clearly, I'm pissed off at you too! Even more so... because you and Mark did it before I did!"
"Ok, Max, calm down..." Luke could feel Max's rage burning at his side. "It was a mistake, and I'm sorry..."
"Oh, no it was not! You guys planned on doing it again the next day!"
"Ok ok, just calm down, your getting yourself all worked up. I don't want you passing out and having to go to the hospital like this." Luke was desperately trying to coax Max.
Max glared at Luke, but he knew Luke was right. If they went in like this, they'd have a lot of explaining to do. Not to mention how his dad would have to deal with it. After a moment of deep breathing, and Luke rubbing his back, Max's temper had subsided. "Ok, I'm better now..."
Luke smiled, "Ya, I know... But I am sorry about what I did. I should have asked..."
"Hey Luke... don't worry about it." Max punched Luke in the arm with a grin. "I understand what it's like! That was the first thing that popped into my head as soon as me and Mark were fused!" The two of them hugged each other and laughed, "Besides... who could resist when they're stuck to our dads' bodies, right?" Luke grinned and nodded vigorously.
Luke looked out the front of the car down to the lake. He could see some of the boy's swim, soccer, football, and track teams from school all practicing on the field and in the lake. They were all training very hard for the end of the year.
Luke had a wicked and evil look on his face as he turned to Max, who did the same. They both blurted out, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?!"
Luke laughed, "You can now fuse people together like I can right?"
"Yup!"
"Well i was just thinking..." That look was back in Luke's eyes, "Wouldn't it be great if some of our athletes were conjoined? The strong bodied football player stuck to a fast sprinter. Could you imagine, a soccer player with a swimmer?! The two of them could swim or kick the ball all day with those legs!"
"Hahaha!" Max was busting with laughter, "That was what I was thinking! Ok then! Let's split up, go down and do some fusing, then meet back here in, say... 2 hours?"
"Deal!" With that, Luke and Max pushed themselves out of each other, and headed down to the lake.
