Valerie didn’t say anything for a few minutes. Then she finally said, “Well that was fucking surreal.”
“Everything has been today,” I said.
“Yea, but that,” she said. “I’ve never seen so many strange things under one roof. Who knows what the rest of that house hides? I hope your wish works so that Dennis can get out of there.”
“I’m not so sure that will happen,” I said. “But we’ll see.”
Valerie sighed. “He’s still a bit of an oddball. He took everything a little…too in stride, I guess,” she said.
“Meaning?” I asked.
“Think about it for a sec,” she said. “He fucked both of us, if you want to call your encounter fucking, and he doesn’t act like it’s a big deal?”
I was puzzled. “Not sure I’m following you,” I said.
“Look,” she said. “He admitted he doesn’t have much social interaction, so shouldn’t he have been more…appreciative?”
“Ooh, listen to you,” I said.
“What?” she asked. “I think it’s a legit thought. Most guys think about nothing but sex and are always wanting more.”
“So, he’s never been ‘most guys,’” I said.
“Something seemed too…familiar,” Valerie asked. “Like he’d…” She let her statement hang in the air.
“Like he’d had sex before?” I asked in a bemused tone. I didn’t think it was likely he was a virgin.
“Like he’d had sex with us before,” she stated.
“Hmm,” I said. “I never really thought of that. So what if he did?”
“Putting aside the possibility that we had a threesome with him in high school, what about the rest of our lives? We remember ourselves as males, but nobody else does. They have memories of us one way, and we don’t. I don’t remember anything about being female until today!” she explained.
Now her concerns made complete sense. That was something I had overlooked, to say the least. Sure we’d still recognize people we knew, and they would recognize us just fine, but they would remember things about ourselves that we would not. That would be a problem. “OK, we have an issue,” I said.
“Yea, we do,” she said. “Like are we just a couple of horny sluts, for one? Ooh, just that thought makes my skin crawl.”
“Let’s wait until we get home,” I said. “We’ll figure this out, and we’ll do it quick, too. I want to go out tonight.”
“Haven’t we done enough?” she moaned.
“Hardly,” I said. “It’s only 6:30, anyway. The night hasn’t even started.” I flashed her another one of my devious smiles.
