Memories and Redecoration

added by PDepew2181 13 years ago O

When we returned to our apartment we sat down on the ragged old couch in our living room. It occurred to me that our apartment hardly looked like one where two young women resided. But we had another issue to address first. “OK, I have absolutely no idea what this is going to happen,” I said. “I haven’t made any wishes that affect our minds yet.”

“We have to know,” Valerie said. “We have to take whatever chance it might be.”

“OK,” I said. I swallowed hard. “I wish that Valerie and I would have memories of being female our entire lives, in the sense that it will match other people’s memories of us, but I also wish that we would retain our memories of being male.”

As soon as I finished the wish I felt as if I was hit by gale force wind. The force pushed me back against the couch as thoughts poured into my head. My eyes fluttered as a lifetime’s worth of memories filled my brain. I felt as if I could not breathe, at least for a few seconds. Just as suddenly as the force of memories hit me, it was gone. I had to take several deep breaths to recover and I felt like I had a headache. I looked over at Valerie and she appeared to have experienced the same effects.

“That…didn’t feel good,” Valerie said.

“No, it didn’t,” I agreed. “Well, did it work for you?” I asked.

“I think so,” she said. “Oh, god. I gave Ricky Gardner a blow job! Why the hell would I do that?”

“Shouldn’t you know that?” I asked.

She searched her new memories for a moment. “I don’t remember,” she said. “I just know that I did it.”

“Hmm,” I said. “Maybe you blocked it out or something,” I theorized. “I could understand why. That guy was repulsive.”

“Only his personality,” Valerie said. “His looks aren’t bad, or they weren’t then. Oh, what does it matter? I’m not likely to see him anytime soon. So what about you? Any memories that are embarrassing for you?” she asked.

“None that I can really think of,” I said as I searched my own memories. “I lost my virginity at 17, I’ve had sex with…22 different guys. Oh, my,” I said as I put my hand over my mouth.

“22 guys in six years?!?” Valerie exclaimed.

“Well, three of those were today!” I tried to defend myself. “What about you then? Account for yourself,” I demanded.

“I also lost my virginity at 17,” she said. “But I’ve only had 12 guys total, and, yes, two of them were today. So I’m not as easy as you.” I punched her in the arm. “Ow! What the hell was that for?”

“I’m not ‘easy!’” I said. “I just haven’t had any lasting relationships, whereas I seem to recall that you have, which would account for the difference.”

“Still seems like a lot,” she said as she rubbed her arm.

“I like having sex,” I said. “Don’t go calling me a slut because of that, you wouldn’t say that if I was still a guy.”

She didn’t have anything to say to that. “So you don’t care if people call you a slut now?” she asked. “Since it would seem you don’t intend to change.”

“I don’t care,” I said. “Or maybe I do. I don’t know. Tell you what, if and when it happens, we’ll see how I react.”

We decided that before doing anything else we had to make some changes for our apartment. Essentially we needed to make it more girly. We started in the living room, since that was the first room of the apartment. The walls were painted a very drab gray. We changed them to white. It had the effect of making the room seem bigger and more inviting. We didn’t outright change the furniture, we just made it all appear brand new again. Any rips or tears in the couch cushions healed, as did the cushions of the two armchairs that sat at either side of the couch. The room was covered in very outdated carpeting. We changed that by making it brand new and we changed the color to pink. We also made the windows look like they just had new panes of glass installed.

We made the same types of changes to the kitchen and bathrooms. We just gave everything the appearance of being new rather than wishing for entirely new things. It did make the rooms look much nicer. We made similar changes to our bedrooms. Valerie made her room all purple, while I went with all pink. We didn’t change what possessions we had, though some were tucked away in the recesses of our closets. Those were mainly the things that identified us as males.

We spent an hour or so redecorating our apartment and then we were ready for a night out.
