Mary, Jess, and Cat, still clowns, went out to the driving lot with cans of spraypaint. Looking at the two cars in the driveway, the three clowngirls decided Mary's pink Volkswagon Beetle would be the best one for their purpose.
Soon the car was covered with stripes and polka dots of various colors. Not quite a true clown car, but it would have to do-for now.
Mary went back inside and grabbed all the vials. Coming back out, she, Jess, and Cat got in their 'clowned' Beetle, and drove off into town.
Everywhere people stared, some raised eyebrows, and some laughed at the sight of three female clown driving in the ridiculous looking automobile. Finally they arrived outside the county reservoir.
Careful that no one could see them, they got out of the car and walked by the edge of the lake. Mary picked up one vial and poured it into the water.
"This lake-hee hee-provides water for-hee hee-the entire county-hee hee."
"At least-hee hee-half the people-hee hee," added Cat, "in our town-hee hee-will drink it-hee hee."
"And then-hee hee-they'll all be-hee hee-a lot happier-hee hee," put in Jess.
