"Thank you so much, Jon!" Alexis cooed. The pair were walking toward an open bar. Alexis was pressing her left side against him while squeezing her newly won tiger plush against her right. "He's adorable."
"Anything for my girl," Jon replied. "Buy you a drink?"
Alexis laughed. "But they're free."
"That makes us both lucky, then."
They walked into the bar and were met with a bizarre sight. The bar itself was not unusual, but its patrons certainly were. Everywhere they looked, strange half-human creatures were talking, drinking, laughing and playing games. Two rabbit men were engaged in a round of darts. A group of various cat, dog and fox-persons shared the largest table, and a man with tentacles for hair was challenging a man with clownfish-painted skin at pool. Less than half of the bar patrons were regular-looking humans, and none of them seemed bothered to be around these strange freaks.
"This island is crazier than I thought," Jon said.
"And I'm liking it more and more," Sonya giggled. She led Jon to the bar. A pig-nosed bartender with no hair glared in their direction and came over.
"What'll it be?"
